The School Travel Awards ceremony will return to the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington on Thursday 9th November, and award partnerships have already almost sold out.
A whole range of companies and providers have been quick to back the awards by signing up to become official awards partners – in fact 17 of 18 possible partner opportunities have already been snapped up.
The awards recognise the top providers and operators in educational visits and school travel, and give well deserved credit to schools, teachers and educational visits coordinators that go all-out in providing pupils with access to learning outside the classroom (LOtC).
The culmination of the initiative is a five-star ceremony and lunch at the premier London venue, the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington. TV broadcaster and newsreader Fiona Bruce will return to host the event again in 2017.
There are 17 awards in total. 15 acknowledge the hard work and pioneering spirit of organisations and companies that provide educational trips and LOtC experiences.
The final two involve schools and their pupils directly to reward best practice.
Entry packs detailing how schools can take part in the My Best School Trip Award are now available. Visit the My Best School Trip pages of this website for more information. The winning school will win £1,500 to spend on a school trip, so it’s well worth the effort.
Voting and nominations for the other categories will open in April and details will be provided in the April/May edition of the magazine and through schooltravelorganiser.com.
