Visitor attraction The Canterbury Tales has announced its normal school admission price has been discounted by more than half for local pupils.
The attraction allows students to learn in an alternative environment and complements classroom studies in a wide range of subjects such as History, English and Religious Education.
Schools with CT1 or CT2 postcodes will be given a discounted entry price of just £2.50 per child, as opposed to the normal school price of £5.50 – if booked before the end of January 2016.
The experience includes live actors, engaging audio and multi-sensory scenes that explore stories such as The Knight’s Tale, The Miller’s Tale, The Wife of Bath’s Tale, The Nun’s Priests Tale and The Pardoner’s Tale, which bring to life an accurate representation of 14th century England.
Pupils can also learn the murderous story of St Thomas Becket followed by a visit to the attraction’s Medieval shop, where students can learn about heraldry.
