Anvil Arts which runs three theatre spaces in Basingstoke will be hosting a wide range of shows this autumn and winter that are suitable for schools.
Shows include The Gruffalo’s Child and Sherlock Holmes: The Sign of Four. The shows will be staged at two of the three spaces, The Haymarket and The Anvil.
Early years and Primary
The Gruffalo’s Child will run from 11th to 14th October at The Haymarket and allows one free teacher space for every ten pupils.
Peppa Pig’s Adventure will be staged at The Anvil on 24th and 25th October. How to Hide a Lion from 9th to 10th November will play at The Haymarket and also allows a free teacher space.
For festive fun, Santa’s Christmas Party will be showing from 7th to 9th December at The Haymarket, again with one free teacher per every 10 students
Other shows include Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs from 13th December to 6th January at The Anvil.
Primary and Secondary
For older pupils there will be a number of different shows suitable: Quest from 22nd September at The Haymarket; The Scarlet Pimpernel from 26th to 29th September at The Haymarket with one free teacher space per 10 students; and Passion from 11th October at The Anvil.
Other shows include: Sherlock Holmes: The Sign of Four between 1st and 3rd November at The Haymarket with one free teacher space per ten students; and The Eleventh Hour between 28th November and 1st December at The Haymarket, again with a free teacher space.
