Outdoor adventure provider, PGL, is offering street dance workshops to Secondary school pupils on selected dates throughout the 2016/2017 academic year.
Suitable for both girls and boys in Key Stages 3 and 4, the dance workshops will take place on selected weekends at three of PGL’s centres at Boreatton Park in Shropshire, Caythorpe Court in Lincolnshire, and Liddington in Wiltshire.
Designed to support the Physical Education curriculum and provide pupils with a chance to experience a less traditional PE activity, the dance workshops will get students learning a variety of dance styles, steps and motifs.
The weekends, which begin on a Friday afternoon, are led by professional dance trainers in partnership with PGL and culminate with students performing and demonstrating what they have learnt.
Complementing the dance lessons will be a range of adventure activities, which have been designed to help reinforce team spirit, effective communication and a sense of achievement. Examples include abseiling, fencing, raft building and quad biking.
A range of evening entertainment and activities are also hosted by the PGL team.
