Holkham Estate will open its brand new Field to Fork exhibition on 20th March 2016, suitable for Key Stage 3 and 4 Geography students.
The exhibition will explore the origins of farming at Holkham and will demonstrate how modern day technology is embraced by a traditional estate. It will include audio visual exhibits and film to tell the complex and interwoven stories of crop production, gamekeeping and conservation and to explain how food is produced from field to fork.
Holkham Hall and Estate is well known for its educational resources, offering a range of visits for pupils in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The hall itself has lots of history and heritage and a diverse range of habitats can be found within the grounds.
The surrounding landscape offers children the chance to learn about farming, wildlife, tourism and conservation. Interactive field study sessions at the estate link to the latest curriculums and exam specifications for Geography, Biology, Environmental Studies, Leisure and Tourism and Art and Design.
